Cirrhosis of the liver affects hepatic tissue as a final consequence of different chronic diseases.
Consequences of liver cirrhosis on the health of an individual fundamentally depend on the degree of functionality that the liver can maintain in spite of histological changes.
Similar to what occurs in other tissues, hepatic inflammation is the basic process by which the liver responds to damage, whatever the cause. Through this process, hepatic tissue is capable of recognizing the damage and, if posible, repairing it. If repair is not posible, damaged tissue is destroyed.
Under normal conditions, this type of response restores the original structure and functions and maintains tissue homeostasis, but at times the damage is too extreme or persistent and the inflammatory process itself compromises the structural integrity with processes such as fibrosis and later sclerosis, since the damaged structures are replaced by abnormal fibrous tissue.
The various etiological agents of the chronic liver diseases mentioned in the previous section can cause tissue damage, inflammation and hepatic necrosis, but the type of cellular repair that predominates (regeneration or fibrosis) is what determines if the hepatic tissue will recover or if the fibrosis will continue to progress, and this abnormal tissue repair leads to cirrhosis.
The predominance of one or the other response type depends on the characteristics and persistence of the damaging agent, as well as on the characteristics of the individual.

Biocell Ultravital™ researches and develops innovative, 100% natural, pharmaceutical-grade bioproducts, on an exclusive basis worldwide. These products optimise cell nutrition and energy, producing a preventative and curative action which, in addition to treating pre-symptoms and symptoms by means of cell renewal, refuels and corrects the cell structure of tissues and organs, preventing the appearance of the functional stress loads which give rise to poor cell formation, degenerative diseases, and their after-effects.
Product developed under pharmaceutical control according to European CE standards. Made in the EC by Biocell Laboratory France, licensed and authorized by Biocell Ultravital GmbH, Switzerland.
